Nine Ranks Essence Bookmark

A ladder of a Gu Master's essence, from Rank 9 at the top down to Rank 1. The primeval ranks show their four stages from initial to peak: green copper (ch 80), red steel (ch 94, 115, 145), white silver (ch 312), yellow gold (ch 331, 344, 358, 424) and purple crystal (ch 379). The immortal ranks give each bead's worth in immortal essence stones: green grape, 1 (ch 2228); red date, 100 (ch 1202); white litchi, 10,000 (ch 1644); and yellow apricot, 1,000,000 (ch 2228).

The color names come from the novel. The swatches are our renderings of those names, since the novel gives no color values. The yellow apricot bead is drawn slightly larger, apricot-shaped and orange-yellow, as described (ch 2215). A footnote explains the abbreviation IES (immortal essence stone).
